EAS6690   Chinese Language II   (30 credits)

Description

This module is a continuation of EAS6680. On completion of the module students will have acquired good practical competence in Chinese language across the skills range and will have the necessary grounding to engage, with confidence with a Chinese language environment. Vocabulary is further extended and more complex grammar is introduced. Students will also be introduced to selected 'real' sources such as newspaper articles. By the end of this module students will have a vocabulary of around 900 characters and should be able to tackle texts with the aid of a dictionary.
